Location

Scots Pine is nestled at the foot of Latrigg on the leafy outskirts of the beautiful Lakeland market town of Keswick in the Lake District. The holiday cottage has the double attraction of being quiet and peaceful but also being only a 10-15 minute walk into the centre of Keswick down an attractive and easy to navigate footpath.

Getting Here

By road: Keswick is closely linked to the M6. Take the A66 from either northbound or southbound M6 to Keswick.

By train: Keswick is well served by the West Coast Mainline. From Penrith Train Station you will need to take a bus into Keswick Bus Station at Booths supermarket. We are approximately 1.5 miles from here, a 5 minute taxi or 20 minute walk.

Directions

1. Come off at J40 from the M6 and take the exit to Keswick.
2. After about 1 mile go over a roundabout and after about another 16 miles you come to a second roundabout where you take the first exit to Keswick. (Avoid taking the first turning to Keswick down a slip road a mile or so before this roundabout).
3. Pass The Pheasant pub on your right and then turn left into Brundholme Road just past a cafe called “The Filling Station”.
4. Drive up the hill past some houses on your right called “Briar Rigg”. Take the first left hand turn just past these houses signposted “Brundholme/Windebrowe”.
5. After about half a mile there is a double bend with an oak tree in front of you. Follow the road round and up a slight hill.
6. At the end of the second bend the entrance to “Brundholme” is on your right. There is a slate marked with “Brundholme” at ground level to the left of the entrance into the drive. If you reach the Calvert Trust stables you have gone too far.
7. When in the drive facing the house, Scots Pine is on the far left hand side. Please feel free to park in front of the cottage gate to unload the car but then please kindly move your car and park only in the designated parking space for the cottage, marked ‘Scots Pine’. The Parking Space is in the middle on the far right of the line of cars parked in the main drive – There is a “Scots Pine” sign to indicate the space.

Parking

There is secure private parking for one car at the holiday cottage. A second parking space is available by prior arrangement.
