Booking Terms


Introduction

Thank you for choosing to book with Scots Pine Holiday Cottage. We look forward to welcoming you. When you make this booking you are entering an agreement with us. Please ensure you have read our terms and conditions.


Price

All prices are fully inclusive of:

  • All electricity and heating costs.
  • Bed linen, towels, tea towels, dishcloths.
  • Initial supply of logs, kindling and firelighters for woodburner.
  • Wifi connection.
  • Complimentary fresh coffee and Yorkshire tea.
  • Kitchen essentials such as herbs/spice condiments, Fairy liquid, dishwasher tablets.
  • Laundry essentials such as non-bio capsules.
  • Bathroom essentials such as loo paper, tissues, sanitary bags.

The stated number of people for each cottage must not be exceeded.


Payment

A damage deposit of £200 is required at time of booking. This will be returned in the week following your departure. The full balance of the booking price and damage deposit is due six weeks before holiday commences. For bookings made less than six weeks before commencement then the full balance and damage deposit is to be paid.


Cancellation

If for any reason, we should have to cancel your booking, a full refund will be made. If you need to cancel your holiday a refund will only be made if the cottage is re-let. If the cottage can not be re-let the balance of money due will remain deemed to be payable. It is strongly recommended that you take out Holiday Cancellation Insurance.


Arrival

The cottage will be available from 4 p.m. on the day of arrival, unless otherwise agreed in advance. There is parking for one car at the cottage. A second parking space is available by prior arrangement.

If any necessary maintenance jobs need to be done we might still be there. If we have any planned maintenance work to be done we will inform you at the time of you booking our cottage so that you can decide whether to carry on with a booking. If the cottage has already been booked and it is necessary for us to carry out work we will inform you as soon as possible.


Departure

The cottage should be vacated by 10 a.m. on the day of departure. We ask that you leave the property in a clean and tidy condition.


Damages & Breakages

The accommodation must be left in a clean and tidy condition. We are sure that you will take care while you stay with us and accept that accidents sometimes happen. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages that you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant.


Children

Children are welcome. Guests must accept total responsibility for the safety of their children.


Pets

Dogs are welcome. Up to two well behaved pet dogs allowed. Guests must accept total responsibility for the acre of the property.


No Smoking Policy

Scots Pine is strictly No Smoking indoors, but is permitted outside using the provided ashtray.


Non Availability of Accommodation

We would only cancel your holiday if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you for the holiday. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.


Right of Entry

The owner and/or agents shall be allowed the right of entry to the cottage at all reasonable times for the purpose of inspection or to carry out any necessary repairs or maintenance.


Website & Brochure

We make every effort to ensure that the information on our web site at www.scotspine.co.uk and in our brochure is accurate. We do however reserve the right to make small changes and we accept no liability for minor inaccuracies.


Liability

We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.


Law

This contract shall be governed by and construed under English Law and any disputes arising between us shall be subject to the non exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.


Data

Any data collected during the course of this booking may be kept on computer.
